New Operator: Thorn
The new defender Brianna “Thorn” Skehan joins Rainbow as a Technical Weapons Expert from Ireland's Emergency Response Unit. As her primary gadget, Thorn brings the Razorbloom Shell - a throwable proximity mine, which will propel sharp blades in all directions after detonation. Attackers who trigger the mine have few seconds to escape or shoot the trap before detonating. Her loadout consists of the new UZK50Gi, a full-automatic SMG, as well as the M870 shotgun used by Bandit and Jäger, combined with the 1911 TACOPS or C75 Auto as secondary weapons. As secondary gadgets Thorn can bring more defensive utility - a deployable shield or barbed wire.
Map Rework: Outback
Outback has received a variety of updates to improve both balancing and player comfort. A big issue of the original Outback has been too few ways into the building - a problem that has been solved by adding more exterior soft walls. Also, some rooms such as the Convenience Store, Compressor Room, Gear Store or Fridge have been merged together into new rooms. In general, areas have been refurbished and cleaned up to remove junk and provide better lines of sight and balance.
Battle Pass
Leading up to the Six Invitational 2022, there has been a new "Road to S.I." Battle Pass, featuring not only the new operator, but also more than 100 cosmetic items. New operator portrait cards as well as 3D weapons skins can be earned through the Battle Pass.

New operator cards can be claimed through the Battle Pass.
General Changes
Team Colors: You can now customize the interface colors of your team and the enemy team.
HUD Rework: The HUD has been completely overhauled, allowing new players to get more information more easily. Experienced players can customize various elements of the HUD in the settings.
Elite 2.0: Elite 2.0 is finally here, allowing you to customize your operator, even when using Elite uniforms.
TS & R6Fix Rework: Both the Testserver as well as R6Fix have been overhauled to give users more transparency and new functionality.
Balancing Changes
Finka Rework: Finka can now revive herself when downed and her adrenal surge will no longer change the recoil.
No outside cameras: Operator cameras (such as Valkyrie's Black Eye Cameras) will now lose signal after 10 seconds when placed outside.
Bulletproof Camera Rework: The bulletproof camera can now be rotated and shoot EMP's to disrupt attacker gadgets.
